Twas the night before Christmas...

ITS HERE - The brand NEW holiday catalogue woop woop!

Twas' the night before Christmas when all through the house.....

Don't you love that poem, I do, its one of my very favourites - especially as it is about my favourite time of the year.
I have created a card and matching gift box below:

The card has about an inch and a half taken off of the front flap, I have embossed the front with our new embossing folder called filigree frame, and have also embossed the inside with the same frame (LOVE IT)
I have used our postage stamp punch to create the presents and the bow and ribbon upon those presents are from the all new stamp and framelit bundle (Wondrous wreaths - code for bundle is 137624 - you get 15% off the bundle yay!).  Its a photopolymer stamp set (Again I LOVE it)
The presents have been attached all along the side of the cut front flap.

Was a little tricky to photograph but I think you get the drift.  The sentiment is also from the new stamp set Endless Wishes.
The dsp is Trim the tree stack (48 sheets of 11.4cm x 16.5cm - perfect for cardmaking)
This card style with the smaller front flap I had recently seen over on Brandys cards :)

Now for the chimney!
I started off with our new Gift box punch board (OMG you really do need one of these)
It makes boxes of so many sizes - AM-A-ZING let me tell you, and generally you don't need glue to assemble these babies.  BUT for this project I did use glue as I wanted the box to be opened at the top so I glued the top flaps down - simple right?

I had some crumb cake left over from the box so I created the top of the chimney using my scoreboard to look like bricks.  A bit of soft suede ink and a sponge to give definition.  The chimney delivery sign is from the new stamp set GET YOUR SANTA ON which also has the santa that is on the front of the box.  The Joy banner is also in that same stamp set (It rocks right?)
I popped one of our "muslin sacks" in the box filled with treats - santa always carries his sack on Christmas Eve right?

A little trick - I used the same idea for a pop up box on the inside of this one and added a row of presents BEHIND the original front piece to give it all more dimension.

I am hoping you love this project as much as I do, please feel free to leave me a comment I love to hear from you.

O' Christmas Tree, O' Christmas Tree...

Ooohhh don't you just love sneak peaks!  I do, some of you may have a copy of the holiday catalogues by now as they have been posted out, but here is a super quick card using non traditional christmas colours.

Hmm the bottom of the card is cut out around the stems of the trees - something a little bit different.

And for the next one:  Two very different looks - this one a little nordic looking :)

A Village Advent Calendar

When I first saw this new upcoming set of stamps with matching framelits that had little houses I knew I wanted to create an advent calendar of a little village!  I love that each days countdown has a house number on it lol.

Corny I know but I had so much fun making it.

Each little box was made using a brand new tool coming out in our new holiday catalogue but I can't show you just yet - well not until the 28th anyway.
The best thing about these boxes is they do not need glue to hold them together.

The numbers were a MDS stamp set called Christmas Countdown.  I just printed them out in cherry cobbler and cut them out, added a little of our dazzling details onto each number to give them some sparkle.

Now I won't be displaying these as they are below, but I wanted to get them all in the photo, I have
a long buffet at home, and I will make it into a street scape :)

I love themes at Christmas lol.

I have given each house a light colour wash - not taking too much care about staying in lines as it wasn't the look I wanted to achieve, I wanted it to look as it is - rustic!

Something a little fun anyway
Let me know what you think :)

Happy Wonderful Christmas....

Its not many weeks until Christmas - about 19 or 20 I think eeeekkkk... so its a great time to get a start on some chrissy cards - using all new christmas goodies from Stampin' Up!

This is just a sample of some of the deliciousness that will be available come the 28th August.
I am loving the embossed star background not to mention that I fell in love with the wreath, the ease of making and reproducing this card in bulk was far too easy.

Pop back on the 28th August to purchase some of these yummy items!

A Non christmas card challenge

The countdown is on - only a short few weeks until our new holiday catalogue is here, they have been ordered for those that requested them, so can't wait to share all the yumminess that is in this years beautiful catalogue.

In the meantime - I belong to a Stampin' Up! family called Elite Stampers and this week a challenge was set - create a card using a NON Christmas stamp set.

Well that proved a challenge in itself - I will show you the card I first made

I really really didn't like it!

SO I ripped it apart and changed it up to something I am super happy with.
This one:

A polka dot piece card......

There is lots of fun stuff on this card, and when I first saw this in the NEW Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue - I knew I had to buy this stamp set, that butterfly is so cute and I love this layered look.
I have changed it up a bit, mainly the colours used, and I think the image in the catalogue was like a pocket, with stitching along the bottom that the front flap tucked into, but I just wanted a card so thats what I made. While I adored to pieces the colours they used I didn't have all the items to 100% case it so I had to make do with what I had - but thats what we all do right? LOL.
You can check out the original on page 139 of our new catty.

The best thing about owning one of these fantastic catalogues are all the amazing images that are in it.

White base version.

Crumb cake base version.

Hmm Which version do you like the best?
Let me know in comments below if you have time and thanks.
