A star is born....

Yep!  I sat and created a Star ornament, next will try it as a favour box I think.  Anyway, I LOVE these to bits, and not all that hard like I thought they would be!
Am loving this stamp and punch set :)

Most of these items are from the new holiday catalogue, which are listed below.

Thank you Lost Lagoon

I am totally in love with Lost Lagoon, the new in colour that Stampin' Up! bought out this year, you will most probably see a few cards from me containing this colour!  I have a few thank you's to go out this past week, so was waiting on my new stamp set and matching framelits called four feathers, so that I could go ahead and get started on them, here is my card, I changed up some of the buttons to see what each card would look like and was happy that it went with clay moulds, metal and regular buttons.

A christmas bauble card.....

Sorry peeps, have been unwell for the last week or so - so haven't been up to much of anything except trying to rest, so no posts until today...  Last month we started Christmas cards in our monthly card class, and while I have already posted the images of the other two, this one I hadn't gotten around to posting so here it is:

Its really hard to tell but I have used the tag topper for the fancy top of the bauble to give it more shape, as I didn't want to leave it completely round, and I love that extra addition, makes the bauble so super fancy and also gives the ribbon something to tie around like a traditional ornament.  I love how it is attached to the circles without being "added on" - so much nicer don't you think?
The colours are whisper white, lost lagoon and crumb cake, with a smattering of silver glimmer paper (love).

I cased it but changed it up a bit from HERE
How to make the bauble shape is HERE

Gift Box Punch Board Video

Hi there, popping in to share with you a video (not by me you will be glad ha ha ha) on how to use these super easy boxes in all sorts of sizes.  Far too easy and cute!

Too easy isn't it?  Just to let you know though - I don't use adhesive for this - it is entirely optional :)

Thanks for stopping by.... Melissa

Twas the night before Christmas...

ITS HERE - The brand NEW holiday catalogue woop woop!

Twas' the night before Christmas when all through the house.....

Don't you love that poem, I do, its one of my very favourites - especially as it is about my favourite time of the year.
I have created a card and matching gift box below:

The card has about an inch and a half taken off of the front flap, I have embossed the front with our new embossing folder called filigree frame, and have also embossed the inside with the same frame (LOVE IT)
I have used our postage stamp punch to create the presents and the bow and ribbon upon those presents are from the all new stamp and framelit bundle (Wondrous wreaths - code for bundle is 137624 - you get 15% off the bundle yay!).  Its a photopolymer stamp set (Again I LOVE it)
The presents have been attached all along the side of the cut front flap.

Was a little tricky to photograph but I think you get the drift.  The sentiment is also from the new stamp set Endless Wishes.
The dsp is Trim the tree stack (48 sheets of 11.4cm x 16.5cm - perfect for cardmaking)
This card style with the smaller front flap I had recently seen over on Brandys cards :)

Now for the chimney!
I started off with our new Gift box punch board (OMG you really do need one of these)
It makes boxes of so many sizes - AM-A-ZING let me tell you, and generally you don't need glue to assemble these babies.  BUT for this project I did use glue as I wanted the box to be opened at the top so I glued the top flaps down - simple right?

I had some crumb cake left over from the box so I created the top of the chimney using my scoreboard to look like bricks.  A bit of soft suede ink and a sponge to give definition.  The chimney delivery sign is from the new stamp set GET YOUR SANTA ON which also has the santa that is on the front of the box.  The Joy banner is also in that same stamp set (It rocks right?)
I popped one of our "muslin sacks" in the box filled with treats - santa always carries his sack on Christmas Eve right?

A little trick - I used the same idea for a pop up box on the inside of this one and added a row of presents BEHIND the original front piece to give it all more dimension.

I am hoping you love this project as much as I do, please feel free to leave me a comment I love to hear from you.
