Punch It Up

Just stopping in tonight with a little punch art - there is a little challenge going on for Stampin' Up! demonstrators - and that is to create something using 2 of the 4 punches listed below:
And boy was it hard, so I settled on a flower.

130698: Pansy
133784: Hearts Border133785: Fun Flower133786: Sweetheart

So I have chosen to use the sweetheart punch and the fun flower.

Use the fun flower punchie to create leaves, hand draw leaf veins using the pear pizazz stampin' write marker, sponge with daubers around the edges again using pear pizazz.

With the sweetheart punch cut each punchie on the angle as shown in pic 2.  Punch out however many you would like to create different fullness's for each flower.  I used about 6 punchies for this flower.  I inked each petal and thenused my bone folder to break up fibres a little to make each petal more pliable.

The circle punchie is just the backing for the petals, you will need to adhere each petal using tombow to this circle then start layering.

A little love

I haven't created in a couple of weeks, circumstances and Life have prevented me from it, so today while I was going through my blogger feed I stumbled across a card I just adored.  It was so lovely with lots of white space, which to this day I still struggle with.  I decided to CASE it.  Pulling out all of my Stampin' Up! supplies I quickly found a stamp that would work lovely with it - Butterfly Basics.
You can find the Card I Cased HERE

Here is the pic of the full card

To colour the flowers and stems I just used a stampin sponge BEFORE I cut it out

The Love word is from a retired set called expressions thinlets

Watercolor wings....

WARNING: PHOTO HEAVY
scroll down for JUST ADD INK card entry.

I love new catalogues, it comes with a whole new range of gorgeous stamps and accessories, and this year is no exception, I am loving the watercolour stamps this year.

Today I am sharing 2 cards with you using our new stamp set called Watercolor Wings.

So gorgeous and its a 3 step stamping set, love that as it gives the image so much more life than just the single step process.

Also I have used a fancy fold called a Latch card for something a little different.

I think I am officially in love with mint macaron, the colour is so calming and peaceful to me.
This butterfly is stamped off first in mint macaron for the base layer, then stamped at full strength for the second layer, then I have layered black memento ink for the third and final top layer.

the inside of the card was a little tricky to photograph due to the folds, but hopefully you will get the idea. Sort of goes valley/peak/valley

Pretty isn't it?  AND the best thing you can get a die to match so no fussy cutting!!!

SECOND CARD:
I have used the challenge colours over at Just Add Ink:
same layout and design as I did above.

Heat embossed with gold embossing powder these little in colour embellishments so that it coordinated.

All the gold elements on this card have been embossed.

How awesome are those new metallic doilies?

Even heat embossed in gold our little basic rhinestones.

ITEMS used in this MINT card - all available now.

Sprinkles Of Life.. making a difference

Hi everyone! Please take a minute - grab a cuppa and have a read!

You know how good it makes you feel to be able to help those less fortunate then ourselves?  Its the most amazing feeling in the world!
I love creating with Stampin' Up!  I love their products to bits, BUT I am not here to tell you the wonderful story of how great Stampin' Up! products are, but how great Stampin' Up! are as a company and their endeavours to improve our world - one stamp set at a time.

I am here to share a little bit of sunshine.

Stampin' Up! donate time and money to support the wonderful charity that is

RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE.

To date the contributions have amassed over $1,000,000 to RMHC and their network of local RMCH chapters.

Amazing isn't it.
For those that don't know what Ronald McDonald House Charities are for here is a quick rundown.

Ronald McDonald House Charities keeps families together and surrounded by love when their children are receiving medical treatment far from home.

It makes me teary as I type this to think we even need this type of charity in todays world, but we do and they always need help

This is where we step in:

This catalogue year Stampin' Up! have produced the most awesome stamp set I have ever seen and for each stamp set sold they will donate $3 to RMHC.

Here is the set:

Now once you have stamped you can purchase an add on item which is a punch seen below, this punches out the tree trunk, apple, and the clouds making your creation that much easier to put together.

Now over the last week or so I have put up samples using this set, but I will pop below again to show you just a few ideas you can use with this amazing set.

A choc top ice cream using the stamp set and punch.  The choc top is also made using the punch.

The clouds, his hat, the basket full of apples are all from this stamp set.

The basket from the same stamp set, with little apples too added in.

So pop on over to my store and put one of these in your carts, and if you can afford to why not get the punch too - NO MORE FUSSY CUTTING!  Got to love that.

So help me to do our bit to help out this wonderful charity and grab yourself one of the most coolest stamp sets you will ever own at the same time.

Memory keeping - Why?

I saw a post last week from Fat Mum Slim, it had this photo below with a question - Why do you take photos?

So I pondered this for all of about 2 seconds - I take photos to memory keep (aka scrapbook).  Which sparked the main question.

Some people ask me why I scrapbook?
Some don't understand why people scrapbook!
So why do I do it?

I am so very blessed to have my son, it wasn't an easy journey but I am glad that I stuck out the treatments, the bad pregnancy, the distressing birth and then the 6 months of no sleep/colic/severe reflux before I finally got my baby to sleep for a few hours in a row - it only got better after that, I consider myself amazingly lucky to have him - I don't want to miss anything about his life, all his firsts, all our family firsts, and I really want to be able to take those memories into my old age and not forget any ONE of them. I want to look back with joy at all that my life has been and all the love that our family has for each other

I just don't want to ever forget!

To live is to travel

I love love love project life and Stampin' Up! have some super cool stamp sets to use with it.  However todays card I am using the set for a retirement card. You could also use it for friends/colleagues who are travelling overseas for working holidays or backpacking to name a few ideas.

I am also totally in love with our new neutrals Designer Series paper stack that is coming out in the new annual catalogue on the 2nd June, I swear I will be needing a new stack by then, I am using it like I have never used DSP before.

Its hard to see in the photo but the designer paper is actually silver, nice and shiny, and I love it.

and the inside of the card - done quite simply.
